Byron portrayed the gift of fire by prometheus to mankind as
"Thou art a symbol and a sign
to Mortals of their fate and force;
Like thee, Man is in part divine,
A troubled stream from a pure source;"
The fire variations by Umer shahid reminds us about the same passion
that lives within us when we learnt to speak. Then, some of us learnt to poem to keep
the resistence to exist, intact for the rest of us.
Vivladi's Winter is a profound tribute to Eliot's love song of J. Alfred Prufrock and a
very craftly written illustration of stream of consciousness style. The book
imparts a melody of feelings of a young heart with an artisitc imagery and diction.
I have just finished reading The Fire Variations by Umar Shahid. Absolutely beautiful writing. Such an inspiration to all of us. I would highly recommend this book.
